**THE ROLE**

The Team Leader is responsible for managing the Child Protection Administration Support Team. This includes leading, developing and coaching the team, maintaining administrative procedures, workloads and providing support on a range of services required for the ongoing operations of the Child Protection Program.

Working within a statutory framework, Child Protection provides child-centred, family-focused services to protect children and young people from significant harm caused by abuse or neglect within the family and aims to make sure that children and young people receive services to deal with the effect of abuse and neglect on their wellbeing and development.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Manage the allocation of resources within and the outputs required of the work area.
- Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team of employees by:

- modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values
- supporting individuals to achieve their potential while maximising their contribution to achieve their goals and outcomes
- where relevant, support specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans relating to the area of responsibility
- building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.
