**Your new company**
This State Government body oversees and manages the state's building legislative framework. There has been an increase in major projects which gives exciting opportunities for talented and experienced individuals

**Your new role**
Your key accountabilities in this role will include:

- Providing high-level policy advice to guide policy development
- Researching and reviewing existing policies to provide strategic advice
- Preparing briefs and relevant documentation for ministerial review
- Coordinating projects and deliverables to assist implementation of regulatory reforms
- Engaging with stakeholders to deliver project and policy advice

**What you'll need to succeed**
You will be an experienced policy officer with familiarity of Victorian public sector processes. You will need:

- Strong experience in reviewing government policy and legislations
- Experience in researching and drafting policies with consultation to stakeholders
- Strong understanding of government regulations, preferably around the environmental sector
- Proven writing capabilities to prepare briefs, reports and other relevant documentations
- Experience in research and the development of policy, legislation and/or regulations, particularly in a planning or building related field, is desirable
