As our Barista, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our small cafe's daily operations, including preparing and serving coffee beverages, staff satisfaction, inventory control and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in our workplace.

This is a Part-Time role with the potential to develop into a Full-Time position in the future.

**How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space**:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages
- Interact with staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Process orders including accurate point of sale and cash handling
- Ensure that the cafe area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times including food and snacks
- Prepare basic food items such as sandwiches, and lunch/morning tea items
- Opening and closing procedures required
- Regularly monitor equipment performance and organise servicing of the coffee machine as well as reporting any repair needs to facilities
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Other reasonable duties as requested by Management

**Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience as a barista in a cafe or similar setting
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in coffee preparation techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons
