**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide knowledgeable information about menu items and specials. Ensure customers' needs are met promptly and courteously throughout their visit.
- **Food and Beverage Preparation**: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with consistency and attention to detail. Assist in the preparation of food items such as sandwiches, salads, and pastries, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- **Cash Handling and POS Operation**: Handle cash transactions efficiently, operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, and process payments using various methods including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments. Maintain cash register balances and adhere to cash handling procedures.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness**: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café dining area, including tables, chairs, and countertops. Ensure all equipment, utensils, and surfaces are sanitized and in compliance with health and safety standards.
- **Stock Management**: Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and assist in restocking and replenishing items as needed. Notify management of low stock levels and participate in inventory counts and ordering processes.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operations and provide support as needed. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns.
- **Adherence to Policies and Regulations**: Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times, including those related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace conduct. Adhere to local health regulations and licensing requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Capacity to bend, stoop, and reach when performing tasks such as stocking and cleaning.
- Comfortable working in a busy and sometimes crowded environment.

**Salary**: $23.50 - $30.00 per hour
