Animal Handler/dog Walker

**Job Summary -**

Our services are conducted within the Merri-bek, Darebin and Moonee Valley suburbs.(travelling beyond these areas on 'Adventure Days').

**Key Responsibilities -**
- Lead and supervise group walks of up to 6 dogs at a time.
- Conduct private, one-on-one, dog walks.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in your care. Transport dogs between locations in a pet safe vehicle.
- Monitor and manage dog behaviour to prevent conflicts and ensure a positive experience for all dogs.
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's behaviour and progress.
- Conduct home visits to dogs, cats and small animals.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of all dogs and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning up after dogs during walks.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

**Qualifications and Skills -**
- Experience working with dogs in a professional setting if preferred.
- Strong understanding of dog behaviour and body language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Physically fit and able to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

**Salary**: From $26.00 per hour
