**Role Description/Criteria**

Christ the Priest (CtP) Catholic Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner, familiar with the Victorian Curriculum, who is able to collaborate with others as part of a team working towards improving learning outcomes for all students in their care. A passion for teaching and an understanding of learning in a contemporary environment is essential. Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. Be faith-filled with a strong commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the school and to the spiritual, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of all students

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to continue to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents

3. Strong behaviour management practices

4. Skills to use data to inform the teaching and learning of students

**Special Requirements**
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is desirable.
- be committed to child safety, maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practices
- have read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Child Safety Code of Conduct and Child Safety Policy
- have read, and be aware of, the attached statement on the 'Principles Regarding Catholic Education'
- hold (or will hold) a current VIT registration
