**About the Opportunity**
Reporting into the Senior Manager, Service Management, this pivotal role will be responsible for management of the end to end Configuration Management Practice for EGLs IT Services. This position’s primary objective is to ensure that the lifecycle for all Configuration Items within the ITSM CMDB and Asset Registers is accurately maintained.
**A day in the life of an IT Configuration Analyst**
- Supports the Configuration Owner with the implementation of Configuration management policies, processes and procedures, and the management and maintenance of the CMS toolset so that the configuration management service meets or exceeds all service level and audit targets
- Responsible for the management and delivery of the full ITIL aligned Configuration Management Practice and related services and functions across the EGL environment
- Responsible for ensuring that the Configuration Management processes are fit for purpose and that standardised methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all Configuration Items (CIs)
- Maintaining the accuracy and currency of CIs in the Configuration Management System (CMS).Control the lifecycle of all CIs and enable beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to ICT Services ensuring that all authorised CIs are recorded in the CMS through the Change process and that no move, add or change occurs without appropriate control.
- Provides reports, including management reports, performance metrics, impact analysis reports and configuration status reports on request to enable reliable decision-making across the business specifically change and impact analysis
- Co-ordinates the completion of configuration audits of in-scope Configuration items and their relationships and provision of a mechanism to identify non-compliance with Configuration management policy
- Ensure Configuration Management best practices are continually communicated and reinforced throughout the appropriate support teams.
- Ensure tight integration between all processes that have a direct impact on the Configuration Management process.
**What You'll need to succeed**
- Technical Capabilities_
- Expert level understanding of IT Service Management frameworks and IT Operations
- Technical familiarity with Enterprise and Retail systems would be an advantage
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in business relationship management
- Strong planning & prioritisation skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership and behaviours_

- Demonstrated awareness in applicable IT change and problem management processes. Provide accurate task estimates for self and others

- Qualifications, Experience & technical requirements_
- Servicenow CSA
- Servicenow Discovery
- ITIL V3 and ITIL4 certifications
- Experience in working within Service management frameworks (ITIL, AgileSM, VeriSM)
- Worked within a similar sized enterprise in a business/customer facing role
- IT Operational experience
- Strong relationship management.
The following would also be highly desireable
- Certification in Project management methodologies.
- Previous experience within Service integrator/vendor space.
