We enable children in Out Of Home Care (OOHC) to achieve to their highest potential. We support their carers and their birth parents to create a safe and secure environment so these children have a safe place to land.

Current NSW reforms regarding permanency in OOHC are changing the way we work. Our new OOHC contract reinforces our great work with birth families, carers and the child/young person while providing the opportunity to review our practices and adapt where required.

**Your new role**
- Use comprehensive, strength based evidenced assessments for Court ouctomes
- Work holistically, support and assess the viability of parents to have their children restored to their care using the DCJ model of SDM
- Complete kinship assessments in the attempt to maintain children and young people to remain within the family unit
- Holistically support the family following restoration
- Work in synchronisation with case management teams to ensure family placement options are explored, parents are supported to meet their children’s needs and child/young person retain their, identity and culture through family connection.

**Your experience**

As an experienced Social Worker, Psychologist, Case Worker or Case Manager, you will:

- Have a minimum 2 years’ experience working with children and families addressing child protection concerns or within OOHC identifying and managing risk through trauma informed practice
- Have strong analytic skills to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Be confident to have difficult conversations in a sensitive and appropriate way
- Have the capacity to engage with people from all walks of life and adapt to changing circumstances
- Hold a current driver’s licence
