**About the Role**

Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, this role is part of a centralised Financial Services team that provides specialist finance SAP services to all finance operations across Santos.

Specifically, this position will:
**Master Data administration** responsibilities include:

- Create and manage master data specifications and templates
- Assist in the SAP governance project, including implementation of IQX master data automation tool, and other master data process improvement initiatives that streamline the team’s activities
- Perform regular reviews of SAP master data to identify issues before they arise in the month end process
- Ensure data quality, compliance and consistency of master data across business systems****:

- Contribute to GL account reconciliations
- Assist with systems journals
- Assist with month end close as required, particularly pertaining to master data activities and overcome any issues as they arise

Finance **System governance** accountabilities include:

- Work with functions outside of Finance to ensure SAP interfaces and processes operate successfully
- Troubleshoot finance data errors
- Contribute to the Standing Journal Register, including compliance monitoring

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will have the following key skills and experience:

- Qualifications in finance, commerce or accounting with CPA or CA
- Significant experience in senior financial roles within a complex commercial environment
- Advanced analytical skills in MS Excel
- High level experience in SAP
- The ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance professionals
- Flexible, resilient, discreet, quick with thought, relaxed and able to adapt and think outside of the box.
