**Payroll and Finance Officer**:
**Full-Time Fixed Term Contract**

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced **Payroll and Finance Officer** to join the Willunga Waldorf School staff.

**About the Role**

The Payroll and Finance Officer reports directly to the Business Manager and is responsible for the maintenance of the accounting function of the school including all general ledger and payroll processing, all associated reconciliations and monthly reporting. The role also includes some general administrative responsibilities.

Core responsibilities include processing of the School’s end-to-end payroll, tax and superannuation calculations and payments, deductions, leave calculations and recording, and preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements, as well as accounts payable, bookkeeping and general administrative tasks.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or similar role
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and accounting software
- Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors
- Good knowledge of IR legislation
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong computer skills, including advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn/master School-specific programs and software
- High level of written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Proven high level general ledger experience
- Experience working in a school environment (desired)

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a RRHAN-EC certificate and provide evidence of the following:

- Current South Australian Working with Children check
- Current First Aid in Education and Care certificate
