About You
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will support and undertake research activities as part of a Centre team on a funded research project examining gender norms, gaming influencers and tween boys.

As part of the two-year project, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will play a key role in supporting the production of high quality and impactful outputs and the execution of the funding agreement.

They will be required to undertake research activities in line with the scoped project and as directed by the research team. The position will carry out independent and/or team research that is impactful and will generate new knowledge on the topic of the project.

The Research Fellow will embed their research expertise into the life of the Centre through the ongoing dissemination of the project across RMIT and with local and national, internal and external partners.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

- Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs that will contribute to existing Centre research areas, as evidenced by publications, research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
- Knowledge and experience researching topics related to digital environments and/or the prevention of gender-based violence, including gender norms, masculinities, social media influencers, gaming, online harms and young people.
- Experience designing and conducting qualitative research, including online content analysis and interviews. Desirable but not mandatory to have experience designing and conducting quantitative research, including survey research
- Excellent organisational and time management skills relevant to supporting the ongoing management of a research project and team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
