Weir Minerals Australia Ltd. works closely with our customers to design, manufacture and supply minerals processing equipment which helps them to deliver natural resources to the world. We have many facilities located close to our customers to enable us to deliver solutions with compelling value.
We have an opportunity for a Trials Manager to join our office in Sydney, NSW.
This role will support the Weir Minerals business through the effective management and support of trials through the End User, Process Equipment and Pump Business Units in the defined territory, by implementing strategic business objectives and performance measures as defined by the Aftermarket Director.
The key responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Identify opportunities for short and long term growth consistent with overall business unit strategies and work with the relevant Business Unit employees to develop plans and capitalize on these opportunities.
- Implement equipment trials to sustain and increase our current market share in core markets.
- Support, train and enhance the effectiveness of Area and Sales Managers through product knowledge and trial results.
- Support trials by conducting customer site visits with Area Managers, present information to customers, and work with Area Managers to gain a successful outcome.
- Extensive travel locally and internationally is required to succeed in the role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a sales leadership/area manager role within the minerals processing industry or similar, managing multiple products and services.
- Technical expertise in Warman product or a similar type of slurry pump is essential
- Internal applicants with a background in Technical Manager or Aftermarket Product Sales are desirable
- Experience working on product development, technical sales in the field in a customer facing role.
- Engineering degree, diploma, industrial trade or relevant industry experience
- Excellent communication skills - ability to adapt your communication style and methods to internal and external stakeholders
- Valid Driver’s License
