**Granite Belt Support Services Inc **is a Not-For-Profit that has been specialising in providing high-quality disability and special needs support in the Southern Downs, Queensland area for more than 30 years**.**

We provide NDIS support, NDIS Plan Management and Therapy services in our modern centre based in **Stanthorpe, QLD,** as well as providing in-home care, community access and overnight respite (STA).

We are seeking passionate people to join our team who share our vision and determination to _support people to live their best lives_.

Shifts are available across the week including weekday, evening, weekend work and overnight respite shifts (with the expectation to sleep between 10 pm - 6 am).

To be considered for the role you will need:

- Live in or be prepared to relocate to the Stanthorpe area
- Hold/or eligible to obtain a Working with Children's Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Clearance
- First Aid and CPR certificate, or willing to obtain one.
- A QLD driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Clear communication skills
- The ability to write accurate and detailed shift notes.
- A strong sense of accountability and confidentiality
- Willingness to engage and empower clients to meet their goals.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and challenging setting and able to adapt to change.
- Available to work during the week, respite sleepovers, weekends and public and/or school holidays with significant availability.

**Note**:
Although qualifications and/or experience is highly regarded, we are willing to train the right people for the role

**Your role may include, but will not be limited to**:

- **Personal Care**: Assist with daily self-care, such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, getting in and out of bed, moving around the house and/or medication prompting.
- **Mental Health Care**: Support participants within their homes and in the community.
- **Domestic Assistance**: Assist with domestic chores, including assistance with light cleaning, dishwashing and/or laundry.
- **Transport**: Assist clients to/from appointments, with getting in and out of vehicles and/or with social activities.
- **Social Support**: Assist clients in the home, or outside the home to access community facilities to maintain a client’s community connection and fulfil the need for social interaction.
- **Meal preparation**: This may include assistance in writing a shopping list, food prep and cooking.
- **Therapy Support**: Support Therapists in implementing client programs.
