Maintenance Fitter

**About The Role**:
Our maintenance department is critical to our operations at our Fawkner Plant.

Working on our **Permanent Night Shift** (starting Monday night at 11.00pm & finishing Saturday morning at 7.00am), our maintenance fitters provide shift coverage for production and attend breakdowns, complete repairs and perform general maintenance.

This is an all-rounder role and we’re looking for someone who can work as a team and roll their sleeves up to make a real difference to our site.

**Key Job Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Working in a safe manner and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
- Completing maintenance repairs, including routine maintenance, testing and calibration on production equipment.
- Carrying out modification and new installation works on equipment.
- Performing machining and welding as required.
- Work with the production team to support and assist them.
- Adhering to Engineering ISO9002 Quality Assurance system and Food Environmental Policy requirements.

**About The Person**:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following characteristics:

- Able to work with a focus on Health, Safety and Quality.
- Be a fully qualified fitter with sound maintenance experience.
- Exposure to pneumatics and hydraulics would be an advantage
- A can-do attitude and the ability to work in a team or unsupervised.
- Have good fault finding and communication skills.
- Have a good understanding in Lean & TPM.
