**About the Role**

JAX Tyres & Auto Gilles Plains is excited to welcome a new, experienced Tyre Fitter/Wheel Aligner to their friendly team. In this role, you will use your expertise to safely fit and repair tyres, while working in a well-equipped and organised workshop. You will work closely with motor mechanics, wheel aligners, tyre technicians and sales staff to deliver the best service to our valued customers, ensuring everyone leaves our store with peace of mind driving. Your main day-to-day tasks would include:

- Identifying faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear
- Fitting, balancing, repairing and servicing tyres
- Checking and servicing steering systems and suspension
- Accurately adjusting wheel alignments and conducting post alignment checks
- Providing your expert advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks of your customer’s vehicles
- Safely operating hoists and conducting road tests as required

**About you**
- Prior experience working as a Tyre/Wheel Alignment Technician
- You are an excellent problem-solver and pay attention to detail
- You can work cooperatively in a team environment, but also confidently when unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers and team members
- Knowledge and compliance of work health and safety practices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Gilles Plains SA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Fitter: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Order Picking Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
