**Belt Splicer** - Seeking an experienced Belt Splicer for a permanent role - Immerse yourself in an inclusive, diverse and supportive culture - Adelaide based position South East Conveyors and Engineering (SECE) was established in 2000 to service the needs within the limestone coast region. Since its establishment it has grown to a major engineering, conveying and project management business employing over 80 full time plus casual highly qualified staff, servicing a variety of sectors both locally and nationwide. SECE currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Belt Splicer to join their Field Service Team located in Adelaide. Reporting to the Belt Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for attending sites to install and maintain conveyor belting systems. Sites serviced range from metro Adelaide to regional and interstate. When onsite work is not booked, you will be tasked with belt fabrication in the Adelaide workshop. **Accountabilities will include but not limited to: -** - Belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric, steel cord and solid woven belt; - Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair; - Cold and Hot repairs; - Belt audits; - Safety and quality compliance; - Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Belt Splicer; - Substantial experience and knowledge in materials handling conveyor belt systems & associated components such as roller identification, roller frames, skirting systems, belt cleaner systems, conveyor belt tracking units, transfer chutes and conveyor structures; - A strong commitment to safety and quality; - Fault-finding and problem solving with a "can-do" attitude, with knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations; - High Risk Licence - EWP, Rigger, FL, Crane; - Working at Heights and Confined Space - less than 2 years old; - First Aid Certificate **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual **Salary**: $33.20 - $70.00 per hour Schedule: - 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: - Wingfield, SA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Work Authorisation: - Australia (preferred)
