**Job Description**:
Lighting Artists use their creative and technical knowledge to light shots and sequences, primarily for VFX integration in to live action plates or full CG shots. They are responsible for managing shots through the lighting and rendering pipeline, including the handover of work to the compositing team.

You’ll be required to set up or work with existing light rigs whilst being able to optimize and troubleshoot lighting and rendering problems in a fast-paced environment.Working closely with CG Supervisors/Leads, lighting artists determine best approaches to solve 3D challenges and develop final looks.

**Qualifications**:
Lighting Essentials:

- Proficiency using Katana or other 3D package in a VFX production environment.
- Strong understanding of rendering techniques and lighting theory.

Any of the following technical skills is a bonus:

- Intermediate-level compositing experience (Nuke)
- Production experience with Renderman, Arnold or other physically based renderers.
- Experience with Python scripting
- Experience with Texture Painting, 3D Modeling or Look Development packages.

Any of the following experience is a great advantage:

- Previous experience in a VFX environment
- Ability to manage milestones and deadlines
- Knowledge of photography, lighting and composition
- Artist
- Key Artist
- Technical Artist
