**Bookkeeper**
Fitzroy Motorcycles is the fastest growing Motorcycle dealership in Melbourne, across two locations. Selling reputable motorcycle and scooter brands like Honda, Indian, Italjet & Lambretta.
The position is casual, in North Fitzroy, in the heart of a cultural hub for cafes and creative boutiques and is easily accessible, being on the tram stop It requires availability on 2 days a week for an immediate start. Days can be negotiated but must be onsite and include Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday each week.
Your role is to use your exquisite bookkeeping and administration skills and knowledge to assist the owner with the company's bookkeeping needs. We offer a small-team based approach with structured training and support to bring you up to speed on our software systems; c9 & MYOB. A friendly and low-stress workplace is on offer to a proficient applicant with excellent attention to detail and admin/bookkeeper experience.
The Bookkeeper needs to be experienced as a bookkeeper, be well organised, flexible, self-motivating, have the ability to work with mínimal supervision, exhibit professional skills and demonstrate continuous high attention to detail.
**Your new role**
A position requires 2 days per week on an ongoing basis. Reporting to the Business Manager and HR Manager your duties and responsibilities may include:
- Accounts payable (including invoice entry and on-site cash/bank reconciliation)
- Cash, bank and credit card Reconciliations
- Attend to administration matters as required, incl. invoice & statement filing
- BAS preparation (but not lodgment)
- Assist with month-end and EOFY preparations
- Superannuation lodgment (but not pay roll)
- **What you'll need to succeed**:
- Must have at least 2 years experience as a Bookkeeper.
- Full Australian Working Rights - No visas, international students or temporary residents.
- This is not a remote or hybrid position, thus willingness to work on-site
- Strong attention to detail
- High verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting deadlines and classify priorities
- National Police Check & At least two professional referees.
