Brentmore Gallagher is a small accountancy firm in Walkerville which has been operating for many years and offers a friendly and relaxed working environment.
**About the role**
We are seeking a well presented and friendly person to provide a positive first image to our clients.
The role would suit a person looking to have exposure and expand their skills into an increasing book keeping role.
As we are a small firm you will have exposure to a wide variety of tasks.
**Duties will include**:
- Answering the telephone, assisting clients and making appointments
- Meeting and greeting clients to the business
- Collecting and processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Management of document management system, filing (electronic & paper), photocopying & scanning
- General office duties
- Keeping a well-presented work area with some cleaning & tidying
- Liaison with the ATO
- Preparation of invoices to clients
- Management of business records in MYOB accounting system
- Provide administration and book keeping for various clients including data entry into MYOB / Xero / Software Assistant
- Prepare BAS and IAS
- Prepare tax returns
**The skills and attributes required include**:
- A professional appearance and good communication skills
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work both with and without supervision
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and software
Experience in a professional tax and accounting firm and / or familiarity with professional accounting programs such as Software Assistant, MYOB and Xero will be viewed favourably.
