Our client, a proud Australian owned business for over 20 years, services customers across Australia and New Zealand. Due to growth within the business, we are currently looking for an experienced Inventory Controller to join their dynamic team in Altona North.

**THE ROLE**
- Maintain stock levels in all states and generate weekly transfers nationally and internationally
- Stock receipt into warehouse
- Raise monthly new Purchase Orders for all suppliers
- Create packing list for all new Purchase Orders
- Generate relevant orders for intercompany purchase orders
- Update Purchase Order quantity, price or date changes as required
- Update relevant paperwork for supplier split shipments
- Update purchase orders with any changes from the vendor packing list
- Provide packing list to all warehouses on incoming containers
- New Item Code generation & maintenance
- Liaise with all state warehouses on stock level and accuracy
- Maintain daily stock adjustment and stock accuracy between Accounting software and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Yearly inventory stocktake, liaise with all warehouses for significant stocktake variances
- Product maintenance on deleted and discontinued items
- Warehouse maintenance (barcode label, location label, WMS maintenance, etc.)
- Queries from warehouse/customer service on inventory level, intercompany airfreight cost, shipment date and delivery date.
- Shipping department duties as required (shipping schedule, shipment date, supplier packing list/invoice checking, costing sheet, etc.)
- Other ad hoc duties as directed by Inventory Manager.

**THE CANDIDATE**
- Demonstrated experience in an Inventory role or similar
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, WMS and accounting software/systems
- Ability to pass relevant pre employment medical and police checks
- Understanding of the logistics industry
- Proven ability to plan, organise, monitor and adapt processes to support improvement strategies
- High level people skills - you are a team player with high level communication skills
