**About the Opportunity**
Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, as a Vineyard Operator with Burge Barossa you will be responsible for the safe operation of both hand and machine operations within the vineyard in accordance with the seasonal activity required to grow quality grapes.
As a Vineyard Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Canopy management
- Reworking old vines, posts, and irrigation systems
- Machinery operations and basic operational maintenance
- Trellis management
- Day-to-day operations of the vineyard as directed
- Other duties as required across farming, gardening, and winery operations
**About You**
In addition to the above, to be successful in this role you will have/be:
- The ability to work either within a team environment and follow directives or work independently without supervision
- Tractor experience
- Experience with irrigation operation and systems
- Experience with pruning and vine training
- The ability to work flexible hours as required due to weather conditions (Spraying)
- The ability to work extended hours for vintage operations
- A current/valid Australian Driver’s Licence (with experience driving a manual vehicle)
- Sound communication and time management skills
- Experience with Chemical handling
- Truck (MR)
- Forklift (desired)
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccination status
