Electronic Instrument Trades Worker

**About the Role**:
This position suits individuals with strong problem-solving abilities, a sound understanding of control systems, and a commitment to precision in diagnostics and repair.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Install, modify, commission and maintain electronic instruments and control systems used in industrial environments
- Diagnose faults by examining, testing and interpreting technical data from machines, control panels, and digital systems
- Repair or replace defective components, wiring, or subsystems based on test findings and performance issues
- Perform scheduled servicing, calibration, and functional checks to ensure operational accuracy
- Reassemble and test electronic instruments or control systems to confirm proper performance and reliability
- Maintain technical documentation and record servicing outcomes and diagnostic findings
- Advise users and operational staff on best practices for usage, maintenance and fault prevention
- Work with safety protocols, system diagrams and standard procedures to ensure compliance and fault resolution
- Monitor and adjust automated systems including sensors, meters, process controllers and feedback loops
**Requirements**:
- Certificate III or IV in Electronics or Instrumentation, or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum two years of on-the-job experience, or three years of relevant practical experience if formal qualifications are not held
- Strong knowledge of electronic control systems, circuit diagnostics, and calibration tools
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, pressure/flow/temp sensors, and industrial automation
- Ability to read technical schematics, instrumentation diagrams, and fault codes
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and safety focus
- Registration or licensing may be required depending on jurisdiction
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
