- How you will make an impact
- As a Unit Receptionist, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service on the Respiratory & Medical Specialties ward and the Oncology & Haematology ward. Your responsibilities will include a variety of administrative and receptionist duties, ensuring that our patients, visitors, and staff receive a high standard of service in a busy environment.
- The shift times are 7:30am -3:30pm and will will be scheduled as follows:

- Respiratory & Medical Specialities ward (6 West) - 3 shifts per fortnight (Fridays and the second Wednesday of the fortnight)
- Oncology & Haematology ward (5 West) - 4 shifts per fortnight (Mondays and Tuesdays)
- As a Unit Receptionist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and Directing Patients and Visitors: Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone entering the ward.- Managing Communications: Answer telephones, respond to inquiries, and ensure accurate recording and delivery of messages.- Assisting Patients: Attend to patient requests and refer them to the appropriate person if you are unable to assist directly.- Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks into the Patient Administration System to maintain accurate patient records.- Maintaining Confidentiality: Ensure that confidentiality is upheld at all times in accordance with privacy regulations.

- About you
- We’re looking for a dedicated and personable individual who brings the following qualifications to the role:
- Previous Experience: Experience in a reception role, preferably within the healthcare industry.- Customer Service Focus: A commitment to providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette. Clerical Skills: Solid clerical and filing skills with relevant experience.- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and a keen eye for detail.- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt when needed.- Team Player: Ability to work efficiently, both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
