Hawkes Racing is currently seeking staff to join the team at our Flemington stables.

**1x Track work rider**

**1x Stablehand**

**TRACK WORK RIDER**
- Monday to Saturday
- Proven experience riding timed gallops, jump outs and educating young horses essential.
- Able to ride 7 - 10 horses per morning.
- Opportunity to ride seasoned racehorses competing at the highest levels of Australian racing and well-educated, quality young horses learning their craft.

**STABLEHAND**
- Daily horse care and handling.
- General stable cleaning and maintenance.
- Must have prior experience working with horses, experience in a racing stable highly regarded.
- Opportunities to attend barrier trials and race days will be available, with above award rates paid for strapping.
- Full-time and casual roles available.

**Essential criteria**:

- Prior experience working with horses.
- Riders must have proven experience riding track work.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Excellent horse handling skills.
- Be able to work in a team and independently.
