**About the role**

This part time role reports to the Business and Performance Manager and the role’s purpose is to:

- Provide best practice advice to the Executive team, Managers and Employees.
- Engage with the workforce in the ongoing improvement of our safety culture.
- Develop WHS policies, procedures, fact sheets, educational campaigns, and reports.
- Oversee incident and hazard investigations & assist to identify & implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement key health, safety & wellbeing initiatives, and programs.
- Carry out audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems and procedures and identify and implement improvements.
- Identify trends and report on WHS to varied levels of the organisation including Board level reporting.

**Essential for success**
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (Diploma or above).
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in providing support, guidance and advice on health and safety issues within a dedicated health and safety role, preferably within a community service or health setting.
- Previous experience in undertaking risk assessments and incident investigations leading to organisational improvements.
- Excellent data analysis, report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel intra and interstate if required.

**Advantageous**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience using the governance and compliance system, Folio.
