Reporting to the Operations Director, working closely with peers and other key stakeholders, the DOWTY Operations Manager will deliver industries’ highest standards in propeller component maintenance services to addressed markets, while ensuring planned operational output for the business. This position will require some repair activity to be conducted in addition to releasing and quality assurance checking aviation product.

As the DOWTY Operations Manager you will be responsible for all facets of your teams’ output from a quality, operational and safety perspective. With 4 direct reports, you are responsible for interfacing with predominantly with the C130J DOWTY Program Manager. You will be overseeing the continual improvement on key operational metrics including:

- On Time Delivery (OTD)
- Turn around time (TAT)
- Warranties & Quality escapes
- Productivity
- Work in progress (WIP)
- Aging Work in progress (AWIP)
- Safety Performance

Working closely with the Lean leader to promote a culture of continuous improvement, the DOWTY Operations Manager will lead the execution of lean projects which are developed by analysing operational data which deliver significant impact on key business metrics. Developing a safe, inclusive, and high performing team is also required from this position to support a professional and profitable workshop. This role acts as the Responsible Manager for workshop and is accountable for the team’s quality output and will require participation and assistance in audit reviews, implement corrective actions, and drive a positive quality culture by leading the execution of improvement requests.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma level, or equivalent in related aviation field such as Aeroskills, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Management.
- Exposure to Program or Maintenance Operational Management.
- Understanding Knowledge of Aircraft Regulations, Standards and frameworks.
- Experienced in Safety Management Systems (SMS) and demonstrated ability to produce required documentation.
- Formal supervision qualification, Certificate IV or above.
- Demonstrated in leading and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of propeller component maintenance and repair processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, plan and implement lean improvement projects.

- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Cert 4 in trainer/assessor qualification highly desired.
