The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Epidemiologist - Advanced to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Undertake specialist communicable disease epidemiology, surveillance, and research, for a range of communicable diseases
- Lead the provision of specialist epidemiological, bio-statistical and evaluation support and advice for communicable disease surveillance and research
- Provide professional leadership in the development of oral and written reports, presentations, submissions and peer reviewed publications
- Provide strategic and high-level epidemiological support and advice to operational teams
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Science (Health Science) (Major in Epidemiology or Biostatistics), Bachelor of Public Health (Major in Epidemiology), or Master of Science (Major in Epidemiology or Biostatistics)
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent part time (30.4 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $65.63 - $68.49 per hour
