We have recently taken the decision to combine our Queensland and NSW Infrastructure Advisory practices and are seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Practice Lead to spearhead profitable and sustainable performance.

- We are uniquely positioned to combine Aurecon’s infrastructure advisory service offerings with our design and engineering expertise to create an insightful loop between the strategic, commercial and technical understanding of infrastructure, and convert these into actions to improve business performance and asset value._

What will you do?

As the Practice Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and delivering consulting services to both public and private clients. We work across multiple sectors and anticipate growth across Energy and Water, whilst maintaining our footprint in Transport, Defence and the Built Environment. You will lead diverse, high-performing teams across geographic boundaries, leveraging Aurecon’s integrated service offerings to deliver transformative infrastructure solutions within these critical industries.

This role offers regional responsibility with national and enterprise-wide influence, providing the opportunity to branch out beyond your immediate portfolio and contribute to the continued success of Aurecon.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic leadership to diverse teams delivering infrastructure advisory services across NSW and QLD, driving growth and operational excellence.
- Lead project teams with a focus on commercial outcomes, risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement to meet client expectations and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, using interpersonal and influencing skills to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and execute business strategies to expand offerings, particularly in enterprise performance, investment advisory and major infrastructure development.
- Transition smoothly from business development to delivery, seizing new opportunities in growth markets.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture across regions, driving national success.
- Oversee performance to ensure budgets, forecasts, and growth targets are achieved.

- Proven leadership experience managing diverse and inclusive teams
- A strong track record of commercial success, demonstrating business development and commercial acumen, with a particular focus on securing and delivering major projects in these sectors.
- A growth mindset, with the ability to drive innovation and continuously improve processes and outcomes for complex infrastructure projects
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with experience engaging at all levels within a high-performing business, particularly with clients and stakeholders
- A consulting background with demonstrated industry eminence and the ability to bring clients from the Energy, Transport, or Water sectors across with you.
- Experience working across geographic and cultural boundaries, with a desire to contribute to national and international projects.
