Accounts Officer

Our Shared Services team have an opportunity available for an experienced Accounts Officer. Sitting within our Finance team to contribute this role will see you contribute to the financial sustainability of the thoroughbred racing industry.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist in the timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable data into Finance Systems
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of suppliers.
- Prepare documents for scanning and reconcile unmatched transactions.
- Assist in the creation, monitoring and updating of Accounts team policy and procedures documentation.
- Process, verify, and post receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
- Administer the collection process from debtors including the timely follow up of overdue amounts.
- Maintain records regarding payments and account status including production of debtor reports.
- Complete the timely and accurate maintenance and reconciliation of multiple Bank Accounts
- Match bank statement data to entries within the RV’s accounting system, ensuring any discrepancies are identified, followed up and resolved promptly
- Reconciliation of credit card banking.

- Proven experience in a similar high-volume accounting support role
- Demonstrated proven practical experience using accounting software (Great Plains advantageous)
- Proven analytical problem-solving skills and demonstrated attention to detail
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills which facilitate effective interaction with a broad range of stakeholders
- Team focused with sound organisational skills, and the ability to undertake multiple activities
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of customer service
