**About the role**

BaptistCare George Forbes House is seeking a Kitchen Hand on a **casual** basis to assist our Chefs to present and deliver high quality nutritious meals to our residents. You will enjoy working in a large team who are committed and being able make a difference in the lives of residents. Kitchen shifts are **7-11.30am or 11am-7pm**

**Duties may include**
- Assistance in meal preparation
- Assisting Chefs with food prep when required
- Working to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness
- Checking and recording temperature of food
- Following all Food Safety Guidelines and HACCP program

**Skills and Experience**
- You are a team player, enjoy interacting with elderly people
- Enjoy working within kitchen environment, and have an understanding of food hygiene practices
- Previous kitchen/food service experience
- Ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks
