Laboratory Technicians

Due to growth, we are currently looking for TWO Laboratory Technicians to join our busy plant in Tomago on a full-time basis.

**Key responsibilities for this position include**:
Carrying out a wide range of testing for construction materials, such as asphalt and aggregates
Undertaking testing results analysis and interpretation
Setting up, calibrating, and maintaining equipment
Devising standard operation procedures for test equipment
Preparation of reports and assessments
Ensuring the safe operation of equipment
Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Valid Driver’s license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
Ability to work flexible hours including night shift & weekends as required
Flexibility to travel and work away when required
Ability to work under pressure and work through issues
Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions

**Highly Desirable, not essential**:
Have knowledge of Asphalt Testing and Manufacturing process
Knowledge of bitumen grades and properties
Experience in laboratory testing techniques and procedures relevant to Asphalt
Knowledge of laboratory set up and calibration requirements
Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques
Experience in safe handling and storage of chemicals
Ideally have 2 years previous experience in Construction Materials Testing Laboratory or similar field
