**The Division**

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

**The opportunity**

We currently have an opportunity for a **Contracts Manager** to join the Transport Partnerships Team who will be** **accountable for driving the overall performance and commerciality of Contracts and managing strategic and complex relationships with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.

Some of the key tasks of the role include:

- Undertaking end to end contract management activities, ensuring contracts are customer focused and consistent with government priorities and Transport’s strategic direction, to deliver high quality, integrated, customer-oriented services which demonstrate value for money;
- Leading the review and implementation of complex service variations, working closely with key stakeholders, and using data, including spatial, and analytics, to inform decision making and to deliver a good customer outcome that represents value for money.
- Playing a pivotal role in contract and relationship management, ensuring suppliers comply with their contractual obligations, including performance standards, to ensure the provision of safe, cost effective and efficient services to customers.
- Supporting the negotiation and agreement of commercial matters, including new contracts and contract variations, to ensure contracts are consistent with government priorities and business strategic directions and they deliver safe, high-quality, integrated, customer-oriented services that demonstrate value for money.
- Implementing contract management processes, in conjunction with unit teams, to optimise supplier relationships and contract compliance

**About you**

As the Contracts Manager you will have strong written and verbal communication skills and well developed relationship management skills, adept at commanding positive outcomes for ROM in a complex stakeholder and transport operations related landscape that is undergoing continuous change. Ideally possessing mature contract management experience or exposure to an operation environment, you will be driven to constantly deliver quality outcomes.

A background in commercial or contract management and/or exposure to an operations environment would be preferred but not essential. A working knowledge of service contracts would be beneficial. Relevant qualifications in procurement, law, commerce, business and/or equivalent industry would be desirable.

The role requires periodic travel throughout regional NSW to engage with operators, attend various forums, represent the agency and share information. A current NSW Driver’s licence and a willingness to travel is required.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 8 - ($123,470 to $138,284) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
