**About us**
Transport for NSW keeps our State moving by providing safe, integrated and efficient transport systems. We put our customers at the centre of everything we do - and we do a lot. We connect people, communities and industry and manage how they use our road, rail and maritime networks and services, and even active modes like walking and cycling. The work we do connects the journeys you take every day.
We are a state government organisation made up of more than 28,000 people and we're in the middle of delivering the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia's history. We work across planning, policy and procurement, harnessing data and technology to develop smarter and more adaptive transport solutions.
That means job opportunities in metropolitan and regional areas right across NSW - you have the chance to be part of creating a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.
**The division**
The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. We have the single biggest place making opportunity at Transport in the coming years, reshaping Greater Sydney into a metropolis of three cities - Eastern Harbour City, Central River City and Western Parklands City - whilst also overseeing the Greater Sydney region as a whole.
**The team**
Community and Place leads engagement with NSW communities and stakeholders to champion their needs and achieve integrated community outcomes. The Community Partnering team is focused on engaging with the community, industry and local council stakeholders to gain insight into their local needs, manage relationships and deliver safety and transport outcomes which suit those communities now and into the future.

This includes providing specialist advice and services across community consultation, communications and engagement strategies, customer information and issues management.
**About you**
The work we do plays a critical role in supporting the future use of our road corridors. We deal with passionate community members who are advocating for the protection of assets in their community. We require an empathetic and innovative thinker who can bring about effective solutions to create positive outcomes for customers and the community.
You’ll have experience in the development and delivery of communications programs for sensitive public issues that are accessible and easy to interpret for our customers, community and broader project teams. You have a keen eye for detail and are able to manage complex and changing information and identify mistakes to ensure we keep accurate, up-to-date information and data.
A confident and adaptable professional, you’ll thrive in a reactive and dynamic environment. You’ll have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and can tailor your communication style to people from all walks of life, handle difficult conversations with sensitivity, and give clear and accurate advice.
