Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**Communications Officer** who can complete complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work.

**About the role**:

- Identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes
- Develop a marketing activity and branding to support increased awareness of the work being undertaken
- Develop a brand to represent the Directorate of Regional Engagement as a function of the department to better engage internal and external stakeholders
- Create a succinct marketing strategy to communicate the resources available to ADF members, their families and Command teams within the ADF
- Implement branding activities and Marketing activities
- Ensure the DRE marketing activity is in alignment with the DMFS Communication and Marketing Strategy

**Ideally, you will have**:

- Knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements
- Ability to work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work
- Excellent attention to detail, the ability to review and edit, and a high level of writing skills are essential, along with highly developed organisation and priority management skills
- High level communication and media qualifications, and industry experience are required for this role
- Resolve problems and implement alternative courses of action
