**Casual Labourer Assistant - Major Industries Restoration**

**Location**: Belconnen, ACT 2616
**Position**: Casual (8 hours per day with lunch break)
**Dates**: Monday, 19th May - Friday, 23rd May (with potential for ongoing work)
**Hourly Rate**: Competitive + relevant entitlements, including penalty rates, overtime, allowances, and superannuation

**About Us**:
Major Industries Restoration specializes in insurance restoration services, handling fire, flood, mould, and other damage claims on behalf of insurance companies. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality restoration services to our clients and are currently looking for a **Casual Labourer Assistant** to join our team and support our qualified Restoration Technicians.

**The Role**:
This position will involve assisting our experienced technicians in the field, particularly at a fire-affected cafe in Belconnen. The role is ideal for someone eager to gain experience in the restoration industry while providing essential support to the team. While it's not a building site environment, you’ll be involved in hands-on tasks that are crucial to the restoration process.

**Key Duties Include (but not limited to)**:

- General labouring tasks
- Cleaning and remediation works
- Assisting with the restoration of the fire-affected cafe
- Working alongside experienced Restoration Technicians
- Occasional lifting and manual tasks as required

To succeed in this role, we need someone who is:

- Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
- A team player who can also work independently
- Able to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks
- Calm under pressure with a strong work ethic
- Physically fit and able to handle manual labour tasks, including lifting and moving equipment
- Ready to take on various tasks with a positive attitude

**Desirable Skills & Experience**:

- IICRC accreditation (Water, Mould, Fire)
- Background or knowledge in building and contents restoration, or cleaning/carpet cleaning
- Experience driving small trucks or manual vehicles
- Willingness to undergo a Police check
