**Technical Trainer**:
At Konecranes and Demag, we are part of a Global organisation that has been in operation for over 80 years. With operations in over 50 countries worldwide, we are currently seeking a passionate, energetic and engaging **Technical Trainer** to join our team.
Based in Smithfield, where we have recently built a new training facility, and reporting to the Service Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering training programs to our Field based Service Technicians across Australia.
**The Role**
- Work closely with local management teams and conduct needs analysis as required to identify training requirements and technical competence gaps within the Company
- Develop and organise training manuals and other materials as required
- In consultation with local Branch Managers, produce training schedules in advance to ensure optimum participation
- Evaluate trainee performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations to the regional/ global team for improvement
- Develop and maintain training records and competency assessment records for all technical operatives in the Company LMS
- Ensure ongoing and effective communication with the frontline service business by Developing and communicating Technical tips that can be shared and discussed during toolbox meetings.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Regional/ Global training teams to understand upcoming product releases/ modifications and technical specifications and plan the communication of these releases with the local business to ensure Technical Operatives maintain accurate and up to date knowledge
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment essential
- Demonstrated experience in a Technical Training role will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in developing technical course content required
- Trade background as an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter preferred but not essential
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral, essential
- High degree of organisational ability with a can-do approach to tasks.
