About the Contract

Ventia is the ADF's industry partner for the repair and maintenance of Army materiel including artillery, small arms, instrument repair, night vision equipment and all armoured vehicles and variants. We currently deliver approximately 900,000 maintenance hours annually and operate a 24/7 nationwide vehicle and equipment recovery services.

About the Role

Skout Solutions are currently sourcing a experienced Electrical Fitters to undertake maintenance activities across a range of Amberley Barracks' defence plant and equipment. Working Monday to Friday, this role will be on a temporary assignment for up to 6 months, with the possibility for permanent work thereafter.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, service, test and repair field power generators and field power generation plant and equipment
- Maintain, repair and service air conditioning systems
- Maintain, service, test and repair mobile refrigeration units
- Work with computer-controlled diagnostic and management systems
- Refer to circuit diagrams and use meters and test instruments to find electrical faults
- Adjust control systems and timing to ensure plant and equipment are running at peak performance

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Certificate III in Electrical Fitting / Electrotechnology
- QLD Electrical License/tickets relevant to the role
- Current Open Australian driver's license is required
- You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain a Defence security clearance.
