**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
To provide an entertaining and informative experience for individuals and groups by performing heritage talks and gold pours and engraving personalised medallions for visitors and corporate clients.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- Conduct tours for visitors, school groups, media, inbound tour groups, corporate clients and VIPs ranging from politicians to film and television personalities.
- Perform gold pouring demonstrations in the Melting House for audiences of up to 75 people at a time, involving heavy lifting and pouring molten metal to create a 200oz gold bar.
- Memorise tour script up to 30 minutes in length and deliver spiel in an entertaining and theatrical manner.
- Understand and inform visitors of safety and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Create medallion designs using specialised computer software.
- Engrave and sell personalised medallions, including solid gold, to visitors and corporate clients, including bulk orders.
- Engage with culturally and linguistically diverse client base in a friendly and professional manner and answer questions based on an in-depth knowledge of the gold industry and The Perth Mint’s history and current operations.
- Promote the Mint at tourism and other external events, such as WA Week.
- Ensure own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of any other person through any act or omission at work.

**We are looking for someone who has the following**:

- Customer Service Experience
- Enjoys Public Speaking
- Must be over 18 years old
- Theatrical experience (preferred)
- Speaks a 2nd language (Chinese, Japanese, Mandarin) is desirable
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends
