Plant Technical Expert

**Your Impact**
As a Plant Technical Expert with Asahi Beverages in our Abbotsford facility, you will be a specialist technical resource with specific 24/7 ownership of all aspects of upgrades, maintenance and improvement for a machine group within packaging. You will be updating, creating and implementing the maintenance strategy and making sure that the maintenance team has the tools and guidance to do what they need to do every day. You will need to work closely with various teams to improve the reliability of the machine group.
**Key Responsibilities Include**
- Developing and continually improving maintenance plans, optimising schedule and work instructions. Increasing overall availability and reliability for focused equipment
- Accountable for setup of machinery to support successful implementation of New Products within packaging
- Analysing spare parts holding of assigned equipment and ensures the optimum quantity of general and critical spares are in stock by team working with spare parts owners
- Development and delivery of technician and operator training, coaching and mentoring
- Driving equipment improvement by reviewing the performance of equipment in conjunction with the Packaging Teams, analysing backlog and developing reliability plans
- Supporting the maintenance planner to ensure that the long
- and medium-term plans are in place for their equipment
- Liaise with equipment and raw material Suppliers for your machine group
**About You**
- You hold a degree in engineering or a mechanical/electrical trade qualification
- You possess strong prior experience within the industry and a have a strong knowledge of machinery
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with and coordinate both internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated computer skills and familiar with Maintenance Management Systems
- You possess excellent trouble shooting skills and the ability to use your initiative to solve problems
- You have a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives
