Job Scope
The Collections Advisor contributes to the profitability of the business by minimizing potential losses due to non-payment and loss of accounts by actively contacting delinquent accounts to secure payment.
The role and responsibilities- While adhering to company policies and procedures, demonstrates good customer service skills while initiating outbound calls and receiving inbound calls from customers.- Negotiates account resolution and accurately inputs and documents actions within the collection systems while maintaining company performance and productivity standards.- To detect and appropriately act on inability to pay, cash flow or financial problems and action pursuant to Credit and Collection policies.- Communicating with customer in a courteous and professional manner by telephone to determine reason for late payment and secure future payments.- Ensuring all action details are recorded on all relevant Collections systems.-
- conducting collection actions so as to meet or exceeding both individual and team goal benchmarks, and budget or forecast requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes- Secondary Education (desirable)- Minimum 12 months in a collections role- Exposure to a measured and KPI based environment- Excellent verbal and written communication-
- Ability to work under pressure- Self motivated- ‘Can do’ attitude- Ability to work as part of a team
