Are you a teacher, or a student looking for extra work in the school holidays? Or maybe you are already working with PWD. Well, we have the BEST job going this summer

Applied Abilities are looking for more team members to support our popular Youth School Holiday Program. Over the school holidays, we will have activities running continuously all over South East Queensland.

Some days might be a trip to Bounce in Tingalpa, or making crafts at the Wynnum Community Centre. Other days might be a road trip to Australia Zoo or even Dreamworld

Our participants range from 8 - 18 years, and vary in the amount of support they might need. We operate on a 1:2 ratio, or 1:1 for high intensity support.

We are a team of compassionate, dedicated and driven individuals who work alongside our clients and their families to assist them in reaching their goals, learn new skills and live a fulfilling life.

**Our group activities have a team of Support Workers - We believe there is no 'I' in Team**

You will need to have a willingness to get involved - There is no sitting on the sidelines in this role You need to be prepared to:

- Strap on some ice skates and go skating
- Wear swimmers and be in the water with our youth
- Go on day adventures
- Jump on a roller coaster
- Get on board a boat and go to an island for the day

**You will need to have**:

- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR or obtain one asap
- Current Open Driver’s license
- Own car and fully comprehensive insurance

**What we offer**:

- Training and hours during the term in lead up to the school holiday period (please note, this will be on a Saturday or Friday night)
- Hours over the school holiday period

Dependent on your qualifications and availability there maybe other shifts available.

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
