**Job Description: Kitchen Hand - Aged Care Facility (Rural Area)**

**Position**: Kitchen Hand
**Location**: Aged Care Facility, Berrigan
**Reports to**: Chef / Kitchen Manager

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Hand to assist in the preparation and delivery of meals for elderly residents in our aged care facility. This role will involve working closely with kitchen staff to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment while assisting with food preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly as directed by the chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items, ensuring they are sanitized.
- Assist with food storage and stock rotation to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
- Help set up and clean up after meals in the dining area.
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols in line with aged care standards.
- Support kitchen team in delivering meals to residents in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.
- Some weekend and evening shifts may be required.
- Rural location with transport options available for staff.
