**We’re now seeking an experienced and innovative Workforce Scheduler for an exciting role with the City of Melville**

The role of the Workforce Scheduler is essentially** **developing the schedules and rosters as well as workload forecasting to ensure our Customer Relations team meet service delivery needs. Working alongside our Customer Relations Team Leader, you will need to be proactive, innovative, with an analytical mind and an eye for problem solving

**As our Workforce Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for**
- Generating rosters using our internal rostering software, and ensuring the schedules are well planned, communicated, and balanced, considering both our service delivery needs, as well as staff availability.
- Supporting and working alongside the Customer Relations Team Leader with proactive staff planning.
- Communicate rosters and roster changes to relevant staff and managers through daily reporting.
- Proactively plan, forecast, and manage the Customer Relations scheduling requirements, including roster changes, leave and absence planning to ensure coverage of shifts.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Demonstrated experience in a workforce management or resource planning role.
- Demonstrated experience in workload forecasting, creation and maintenance of staffing rosters, and capacity planning within multi-job role operational channels.
- Experience and working knowledge of call centres and operational processing metrics, and related technology.
- Proficient experience in Excel (advanced)
- Experience with Cisco Workforce Optimization will be highly regarded
