**About the role**

This could be your chance to develop, coordinate and implement contemporary practices and procedures for Workplace Safety & Health.

Working closely with our Health & Safety Manager, you'll ensure on-site WHS compliance by staff, contractors, and volunteers, and identify / carry out risk management assessments as required. Our aim is to achieve a safe working environment for our people.

This role will also support all WHS coordination and administrative duties within allocated portfolio / region.

The WHS Coordinator is a part of the People Learning & Culture team and is located in our central office and offers a flexible working environment from both the home and office/sites.

**More specifically, we’ll be asking you to:

- **
- Assist with Program Implementation Development and Coordination develops, implements, and coordinates local WHS strategy, systems and procedures.
- Assists management, staff, visitors, and contractors in continuous improvement of local WHS practices.
- Provide advice in relation to safety and health issues within the workplace, and the wellbeing of employees - safety and health issue resolution, hazard identification / management and risk analysis.
- Coordinates and provides advice to safety and health representatives and management.
- Provide WHS-related training and education seminars as necessary.
