EXCITING NEW ROLE AT GLEN SMILES DENTAL - CRANBOURNE AND POTENTIALLY GLEN WAVERLEY

We are looking for someone with experience to work as a dental assistant to take over responsibilities to help Dentist chairside - this includes managing staff, rostering, doing pay roll, stock ordering, etc

**Clinical Support**
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures (set-up trays, instruments, and materials).
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and treatments.
- Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs (as permitted by law/training).
- Record patient information as directed in dental software.
- Provide post-operative instructions under dentist’s guidance.

**Infection Control & Sterilisation**
- Follow Australian infection control standards (AS/NZS 4815, 4187).
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilise instruments and equipment.
- Maintain sterilisation logs and conduct routine monitoring (e.g., Helix/Bowie Dick tests).
- Manage waste segregation and disposal.

**Patient Care**
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
- Provide reassurance and comfort to anxious patients.
- Give oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions where directed.
- Support special needs and paediatric patients with care and empathy.

**Administrative Support** (if required)
- Assist with appointment scheduling and patient recalls.
- Process payments and health insurance claims.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with ordering supplies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Dental clinic: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Any other languages other than english (preferred)
