Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). Established in 2011 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the mission of Good Samaritan Education is to sustain and nurture our Catholic schools as Good Samaritan Benedictine communities of learning.

**About the Role**

A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College, seeks expressions of interest for the position of PDPHE Teacher to join the PDHPE in a Temporary full time (1.0FTE) position. This position is a twelve-month temporary replacement and will cover a period of leave for the entire 2026 school year.

The PDPHE Teacher will collaborate within the PDHPE department and across all year groups, undertaking responsibilities within the team as required by the Coordinator. The PDHPE department is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement committed to student-centered practice.

The College offers excellent support to all teachers to enable them to develop on their professional journey through professional development. All staff are required to be involved in the pastoral care of our students, demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education, and be willing to participate in extracurricular programs.

Applicants for this position must be excellent classroom practitioners, dedicated team players, interested in the care and welfare of students, and have particular skills in teaching PDHPE to equip them to contribute to the College’s educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants must also be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. This position will allow a creative and passionate teacher and their students to flourish.

**About You**

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

- Ability to teach Stage 4 and 5 PDHPE and PASS, Stage 6 SLR, EEC, CAFS, and HAMS;
- The ability to work effectively and cohesively within the PDHPE faculty;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team;
- Understand guided inquiry and be able to implement it in the classroom successfully;
- Understand and show commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching;
- Possess proven ability to incorporate modern technologies into their teaching practice and convey passion about classroom innovation;
- A commitment to academic excellence and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that encourage academic excellence;
- Commitment to continual improvement and effective use of data to differentiate the curriculum and address the learning needs of all students;
- Knowledge and understanding of the current curriculum and NESA requirements;
- Ability to successfully integrate technology into everyday learning and planning;
- Interpersonal skills with parents, students and staff;
- Possess a valid Working with Children Check;
- A commitment to the child safeguarding principles;
- Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College;
- Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW;
- Supporting the College Pastoral Program, including being responsible for a Home Room.
