Aegis Aged Care have several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands, within our beautiful Stirling Facility.

As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Assistant Cook/ Chef Manager.

A working day will involve:

- Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

You should possess the following:

- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- A knowledge of food safety.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
