The Metro Tunnel Project (MTP) is a transformational public transport project that will bring more trains to your suburb and reduce travel times by running the busy Cranbourne, Pakenham and Sunbury lines through a new tunnel. By untangling the City Loop, more trains can run more often across Melbourne.

We’ve finished digging twin 9km tunnels, and construction is underway on 5 new stations and testing of the new High Capacity Signalling system that will enable turn-up-and-go services.

Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) has an exciting opportunity for an
**Engineering Interface Coordinator** to join the MTP Team.

**The Role**

The
**Interface Coordinator **role exists to support the Senior Project Manager by working collaboratively across the Tunnels and Stations team to identify and resolve engineering issues associated with the Project’s technical solution and rail access requests from the contractor.

**Responsibilities**- Support the Tunnels and Stations Interface Lead and Tunnels and Stations Program Manager to facilitate technical, operational and maintenance inputs for the rail transport component of Cross Yarra Partnership’s (CYP) technical solution-
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project targets, objectives and milestones are achieved-
- Participate in and facilitate design review forums to ensure Metro’s operational and maintenance needs are met-
- Assist with Metro processes including attendance at risk assessment workshops and risk review forums-
- Facilitate technical input for Rail Access requests and provide constructive support to ensure all requests adhere to Metro’s Works Readiness Procedure-
- Plan and manage achievement of all Engineering Requirements contained within Metro’s Works Readiness Procedure-
- Assist the Rail Access Manager to develop project schedules on a 12-26 week program for CYP’s access requests-
- Support Metro’s Tunnels & Stations Management Team to ensure all possible risks are mitigated, ensuring construction standards are maintained and that all safety, operational and maintenance requirements are known when assessing compliance**About You**- Tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent.-
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate for key outcomes through strong stakeholder management with a variety of complex stakeholders.-
- 5 years’ experience in rail project engineering/construction or similar multi-discipline industry.-
