**About the role**

As Security Duty Manager, you will support the Security Operation Manager in the implementation of business plans and the achievement of the departments' objectives. You will implement strategies and measures to identify and reduce incidents of theft, assaults, vandalism, disorderly conduct, and all other illegal and undesirable activities within The Star Sydney complex.

As a member of the Security leadership team, you will manage and guide our team members, supervising on the job performance as well as assist with driving department initiatives, cultural values and improving employee engagement.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Manage the daily operations of the Safety & Security shift in line with department objectives
- Liaise and cooperate with the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority and relevant law enforcement and emergency services agencies
- Investigate incidents on shift and ensure a high standard of reporting and documentation
- Investigate and resolve guest service queries and concerns with diplomacy and tact
- Coordinate emergency response, evacuation, and disaster recovery processes when required

**About you**
- Current NSW Security Industry Licence
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Advanced Conflict Resolution and Incident Management skills
- Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gambling accreditation
- Responsible Gaming Liaison Officer (RGLO) preferred
- Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people, performance management and controlling labour costs and operating expenses
- Demonstrated ability in developing productive relationships and managing and driving change
- Considerable experience in security and management, preferably within the Casino industry
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular Casino Control Act and regulations, NSW Liquor Act, Security Industry Act and Crimes Act
- Solid performance history and demonstrated interest in advancing your career
- Availability to work across a 24/7 roster
