The role is suitable for students who undergo Cert of Engineering, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering - Mechanical Trade.

**Duties will involve:  **
- Stripping, assessing, repairing and testing mechanical seals, couplings and associated equipment
- Fitting shafts, bearings, gearboxes, steering assemblies, pulleys, idlers, conveyor belts, sprockets and drives.
- Demonstrated ability with using manual lathes and milling equipment
- A genuine desire to become a qualified engineering tradesperson.
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Self-motivation with a positive work ethic
- Commitment to on and off the job training
- A willingness to learn and work within a team environment
- Strong commitment to safety and sustainability
- Driver licence and a reliable vehicle is preferred.

Part-time hours: 38 per week

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus

**Experience**:

- Fitter and Turner: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
